The Port Aurel Maritime Museum reopened on Saturday after a two-year renovation that doubled its gallery space.

The highlight is a 19th-century pilot boat, restored by volunteers and hung from the roof of the new main hall. A new gallery tells the stories of the families who worked on the docks.

Entry is now free. The museum hopes to welcome 150,000 visitors in its first year.
