Plans to add 6,000 seats to Rovers’ Quayside ground have divided residents, with more than 400 people attending a public meeting on Thursday.

The club says the extra seats would pay for its youth academy and bring visitors to local businesses on match days. Neighbours fear more traffic and parking on their streets.

The club has promised park-and-ride buses from the ring road and a ban on match-day parking in nearby streets. A planning decision is expected in the autumn.
