Fans celebrate as Rovers reach the cup final

A late header sent Port Aurel Rovers to their first final in 23 years.

Port Aurel Rovers reached their first cup final in 23 years with a 2-1 win, sealed by a header from defender Luca Brandt in the 88th minute.

The Rovers had fallen behind before half-time but equalised through a penalty ten minutes after the break. Brandt’s winner came from a corner.

Thousands of supporters gathered on the quay to welcome the team bus home late on Saturday night.

I have waited my whole career for a night like this.

— Luca Brandt

The final will be played at the national stadium on the 28th.
