The central library now lends laptops for up to a month, alongside free lessons for people who have never used one.

More than 300 people have borrowed a laptop since the scheme started in the spring. Most are over 65, and many wanted to video-call family or book doctor’s appointments online.

Volunteers give one-to-one lessons every Tuesday and Thursday morning. No booking is needed.
